报告摘要:Grain hydration is a process occurring naturally in agriculture and food engineering. It plays a crucial role in seed storage and germination as well as in grain pretreatment process during cooking. Since grain tissue contains many strong hydrophilic substances such as cellulose, starch and protein, etc., when grains are soaked in water, water molecules penetrate into the inner part of grains and then combine with these substances -causing an enormous increase in moisture as well as volume. In this talk, we introduce a free boundary model modeling grain hydration. Asymptotic behaviors of free boundaries and the moisture content are obtained.

邢瑞香,中山大学数学学院副教授,研究领域:非线性分析,偏微分方程。在抛物方程的爆破分析、Liouville定理和先验估计,椭圆方程解的存在性和分歧问题,自由边界模型问题领域获得了很好的研究进展。论文发表在Nonlinearity, JDE, DCDS-A等有影响力的国际期刊。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目一项及多项省部级科研项目。
