报告题目：Biosensing with White Light SPR and SERS 

（白光表面等离子共振和表面等离子拉曼生物传感）

报告摘要：Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) has been extensively exploited as a powerful label-free sensing mechanism for applications in life sciences, pharmaceutical discovery, environmental monitoring, and national security.  Commercial SPR instruments are available.  Such instruments were improved by the speaker and collaborators through the development of a differential white-light spectral interferometer for SPR sensing which delivers excellent sensitivity and wide measurement range.  Further, the sensing material system has been improved through the use of a self-assembly nanostructure.  This seminar will be focused mainly on the above aspects.

报告人简介：胡志文教授本科毕业于英国布里斯托尔大学航空工程系，并取得该校博士学位。1987 年起在香港城市大学任教，现为物理与材料科学系教授。从 1988 年起已成功获得香港研究资助局、香港城市大学及香港裘槎基金会等 36 项科研资助，其中 9 项来自于香港研究资助局。研究领域涉及到光学及光电子学研究的有相位解调、激光超声、干涉检测、微差测量、表面等离子共振生物传感、剪切散斑干涉、染料敏化太阳能电池等。
