Staff from University of Waterloo, Canada visited School of Science in UPC

On June 4th, staff from Faculty of Science in the University of Waterloo, Canada paid visit to UPC for undergraduate exchange students recruitment in the China 2+2 Program and was warmly welcomed by Professor Zhang Jun, the Vice Dean. The visitors include the Dean Terry McMahon, the Vice Dean Shoufa Lin and Dr. Changcheng Li who is in charge of the program.

Professor Zhang Jun gave a brief introduction of the service teaching in School of Science of UPC, which includes the setting of main courses and lecturers qualification. He pointed out that we expect more opportunities for the exchange and look forward to further communication between the two sides.

Professor McMahon expressed the gratitude for the warm welcome and introduced the recruitment plan. He also introduced the school and social life in University of Waterloo to our students. The university will provide enough chance for foreign students to explore themselves, better join the local and get used to their new life in Canada. He said.

At the end of the conversation, the two sides communicated freely about the exchange program. The meeting greatly enhanced the understanding towards each other, and also provided more potential possibilities for further cooperation between the two university.
